Carr’s Flour Christmas Competition - we supported our client Carr’s Flour with their Christmas campaign. They ran a competition for one lucky winner to win a Panasonic Bread maker and a goodie bag filled with Carr’s Flour. Their goal was to increase consumer engagement compared to previous competitions.

  • What is your goal? 

What would you like to achieve? Why are you holding a Facebook competition? Is it to increase Facebook likes, grow brand loyalty, increase website traffic. All of the above? Whatever your goal, make sure you have a clear vision of what you want the outcome to be.  

  • Who is your target audience? 

To create a successful social media competition, you need to understand and know your audience. Give away a prize that will appeal to your target consumer, that will entice them to enter your competition? You'll also need to understand their interests to target your competition accordingly, you can do this through Facebook boosted posts and Facebook ads. 

  • Amplify your competition 

Let your customers know about your competition and use other platforms to amplify your competition. This could mean competition sites (a lot of them are free) as well as sending out an EDM (Email Marketing campaign). 

  • Engage with your audience

Your audience wants to know you care. Speak to them, ask them questions and show them you are listening to what they want. 

It’s important to like consumer comments and write back to them. This also gives you the chance to ask your audience questions for your next marketing campaign. 

*TIP* Invite users who have liked your post to like your Facebook page. This is a great way to directly connect with individual users and increase your brand awareness. 

  • A/B Testing 

It’s important to learn from every campaign, check your Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics throughout your campaign and optimise accordingly. What was successful or unsuccessful last time? Innovate and evolve by adding onto the successful tactics. In today's savvy world, users have short attention spans and are bombarded with information all day, every day. Keep consumers interested with new creative, targeting tactics and incentivise them to enter your competition. Take some risks, they’ll pay off.

You will be taking responsibility for all company website builds and maintenance. Working closely with our creative team, you'll be developing, testing and delivering unique creative projects using the latest front-end technologies. The right candidates will thrive working with our UX/UI designers, able to inform design decisions from the start and suggest enhancements based on their knowledge of emerging technologies.

We're looking for an experienced developer with a proven track record of delivering a wide range of digital projects within a fast paced studio. You will need to be adaptable; as comfortable prototyping interactions and animation as you are developing within CMS frameworks.

Key Skills

  • The ability to learn and develop in a self-managing environment but be very much a team player.
  • High level skills in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, InVision etc…).
  • Proficiency in front and back-end development web programming languages such as HTML, PHP, JQuery and CSS, and other relevant web design coding languages.
  • Proven experience working with Framework, Bootstrap.
  • Must have solid WordPress and WooCommerce experience.
  • Understanding of search engine optimization principles.
  • Understanding of UI/UX, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, website structure and security standards.
  • Server setup, management and troubleshooting
  • A passion for performance

Ideal Skills

  • Experience of building sites in Shopify
  • Ability to debug front-end site issues using inspector tools
  • Grunt, Gulp or another automation tool
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Backbone, AngularJS or EmberJS
  • Bonus points for experience with analytical tools i.e. Google Analytics, Keyword Researcher, SEM Rush etc…

We are evolving

When we decided to relocate to new studios we looked at what we do and the way we work so that we could plan our move. We discovered we have grown and changed. So we decided we need to evolve and that meant reviewing everything.

We work thorough a process for clients; listening, diagnosing, thinking and creating the right solution for the job - so we applied that to our own organisation.

Everyday we help organisations with their brands. We help build new brands from the ground up for people with a great business idea. We help refresh and energise tired brands. We help make brands work better.

We looked at what we do and our essence and realised we’ve changed. We now work with an amazing range of small and large clients, across a wide range of sectors, across Europe and for brands with a global reach.  Each one doing very different things in different ways. We offer them an array of traditional media and digital creative services. From a simple graphic design to a brand strategy and marketing communications campaigns.

We are moving

After nearly 20 years at Windermere, we're moving...

Continuing our affinity with food and hospitality, we are moving to inspiring new studios in a revitalised old public house in Staveley.

One of the hardest things for a creative agency to do is to point the microscope inwards and work on your own brand…especially when you are busy delivering design solutions for clients.
